Why does the Historical Stock Status Report crash?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello Everybody,

We cannot run the Historical Stock Status Report - Detailed version.

When we try, the following error appears:

Error in equation *** ILLEGAL SYNTAX ***□                                   [Not Found]

I know there are some damaged records in IV30300 (where TRXSORCE is blank, and no quantities) - - is it safe to delete these records?

There are also 2 records with a TRXSORCE, but they meet the criteria described in KB article 855945 - DECLQTY or DECPLCUR = 0  - - should / can I delete these also? They date back to Jan 2011.

I am able to run the Summary version of the report.

Thank you for any ideas.
Maria.

    hi Maria,

It sounds like you already have a solution to this issue. You can remove history on the transactions from Tools> utilities> inventory> remove Transaction history.  You can use an item number and document number restriction.

Please let us know if the report is still not working.

Yes delete all of the mentioned transactions, these are a corrupted transactions that shouldn't remain in your database.
