Migrating ESS Users Between Separate Instances of GP2015

We are building out a GP2015 test environment that includes several hundred ESS users. In the tesitng arena, we've created the user IDs with appropriate access and permissions, hooked up their AD accounts to those user IDs, and everything is working in test from a workflow perspective (both for timecards and purchase requests we're using AD for routing). Here is the issue:

We basically want to migrate that entire collection of users onto a new production server and a new set of GP2015 companies. We are being told that the user ID will migrate but that we will have to go into the user panel in the new env (for each user) and re-add the AD entry.

Is this true or does the AD link contained in "Dynamics" migrate along with the rest of the user ID info?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If migrating from one instance to another, meaning from a live environment to a test environment, all databases are copied to the test environment so that data is retained. The DYNAMICS database contains all the system level user and security data.

So does that mean the AD info for the user is somewhere in the SY01400? If so, which field(s)? www.gptablereference.com/.../SY01400 - if not, is there another SY01400-like table that stores this user-specific data?

There is an AD SID/GUID in that table that links it to the AD user, and that is in the DYNAMICS system database.

Looks like the gptablereference people need to make an update! Based on your response, I found the following: "User accounts are stored in the User Master table (dbo.SY01400) in the system database, which has been beefed up with a new column called Active Directory Object GUID (ADObjectGuid) to store the actual GUID of the directory or organizational account mapped to the GP user."
