GeneralJournalAccountEntry and DimensionFocusBalance for Atlas Report

(0) ShareShare

Posted on by

Hi All,

I am using Atlas to generate Trial Balance which need to include Journal Number, Credit, Debit, Invoice number, etc. in this report. As the verrsion of Atlas we are using doesn't support two Managed Columns which we can use show Credit and Debit in two separated Columns, I need to use DimensionFocusBalance table to do that.

Does anyone know if the relations can be set up between GeneralJournalAccountEntry and DimensionFocusBalance?

Thanks

    Hi Pin,

There is no 1:1 relation between the GeneralJournalAccountEntry and DimensionFocusBalance. The DimensionFocusBalance has cumulated amounts per accounting date, main account and dimensions. Per Dimension set there are cumulated balances. This table has no reference to individual vouchers.

So this table cannot be used.

I have not used Atlas for years as AX 2012 has an own Excel add-in. Probably you can define some cell options in Excel to show or hide amounts based if it is debit or credit.

    Hello Pin.

I suggest you download once of several trail balance examples found in our wiki site   support.globesoftware.com/.../default.asp   This will give you a place to start by reverse engineering the report provided.

Should you have any questions then please email helpdesk@globesoftware.com.au

    Thank you

    HI Steve,

Thanks for your reply. We have upgraded the Atlas to a new version which fixed the two calculated columns bug.

there are more requirements than the standard one generated by Atlas. e.g. we group TB by Account,we want to show both Account ID and Account Name in the group header. However, it can only show the account ID if we group by Account ID in Atlas report.

We have asked our partner to submit an enhancement requirement to Globesoftware and waiting for the feedback. Also, I have been told we need to liaise with our GlobeSoftware partner re any issue we are facing and not to liaise with GlobeSoftware Helpdesk directly.

    Thanks,

    Pin
