Description 2 field

Hi,

When we post a Sales or Purchase invoice or general journal, we sometimes use the Description 2 field to specify a specific description we want on an entry.

However, in General Ledger Entries, the Description 2 field is always blank, and does not populate with what we entered in the invoice or journal.

Does anyone know why this might be?

Have You tried to change the field "Copy Line Descr. to G/L Entry" checkmark in Purchase&Payables setup and in Sales&Receivables Setup?

Hi, can you confirm if there are some customizations due to it. It is recommended that you can view the Description 2 fields are from the same table. You can use the Page inspect tools to analysis it.

Description 2 field does not exist on the General Ledger Entries.

It must have been a customisation. You can ask your partner to investigate it because the customisation probably does not support journals.
