Deleting Sales Order Line Items

Is there a way to password protect this functionality? I am able to hide the delete button using Field Level Security, but users can still go to Edit>Delete Row.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried using VBA to trap the modal dialog 'Are you sure you want to delete this line item?'

Using VBA, you can automatically select the 'Cancel' button before the dialog is presented to the user.

Hi Tremor,

If the Field Level Security does not get the result you want you could also try modifying the form in VBA to disable the "Edit" button so that users cannot use it.

It is also worth mentioning that we have a product called BluWare that is a Dynamics GP browser based sales order entry add on that has the ability built in to enable/disable the add or remove of line items based on a order status. This could also work to solve your problem out of the box.
