Aloha,
I am looking for the upgrade path of least resistance. This is my situation.
My current setup is:
SQL Server 2000 sp4
Dynamics SL 6.5 sp1
Business Portal 3.0
I want to get to here:
SQL Server 2008 Standard (on a new server box)
Dynamics SL 7.0 FP1 (new box)
Business Portal 7.0? (same sharepoint site)
Do I need to go with SQL Server 2005 first, then upgrade Dynamics, then do an in-place upgrade of SQL to 2008 (shudder)?
Or
Should I install SQL Server 2008 on the new box, attach 6.5 databases to it, and then apply the Dynamics Upgrade to 7.0?
Has anyone else tried these options and have recommendations?
Any suggestions?

Aloha, Scott:
You should defnintely try the second. I think we did this for at least one of our clients ant it worked. Let me check with the tech who actually did it and see if he had any issues.
Also note that 2008 is still 80 compatible (SL2000) there should be no upgrade issues, per my tech.
