Customer Ledger Entries - Where to find Document Date?

Hi all,

I'm wondering where I would be able to find a listing of the Document Dates for all Customer Ledger Entries. For some reason the Customer Ledger Entries & Detailed Customer Ledger Entries cards both do not include a Document Date field (but include the Due Date field). Wondering where I can find this?

For clarity, I can't use the Posted Sales Invoice Header as I want to include General Journals posted to the Customer Ledger (Posted Sales Invoice only includes Sales Invoices and not Customer Entries made via GL).

Thanks!

I have the same question (0)

I don't think ledger entries have the document date, as that is associated with the posted sales invoice.  However, it is odd they have the due date and not the document date as well.  You can locate the document date in the Posted Sales Invoices View.

Thanks - for some further clarity, I want to pick up customer ledger entries that were made via the General Ledger (as it is possible to post customer entries via General Journal) - the Posted Sales invoice window isn't picking this up. You're able to select Document Date as a field in the General Journal window, but even in Posted General Journal the Document Date isn't a field. There must be a table that references it as it ages properly in the Aged AR Report...

    Hi,

Take CLE as base table and get the document date from Sales Invoice Header. Linking between CLE & SIH is "Document No." --> "No."

    Hi Amit,

This won't work for me unfortunately as I want to get the document date from General Journals made to the Customer Ledger as well (there is a document date field in there). Unless you're thinking of something else? When I look at Sales Invoice Header I'm only seeing items that were posted through the Sales Invoice module vs GL.

You could join the two tables on a lookup of your Document no. between GL table and CLE table, since you do not post via Sales Invoices.

Hi, The Customer Ledger Entry table contains the Document Date field, you just need to display it on the page.

Or, just click View table in Page Inspection, you can open the Cust. Ledger Entry table with Document Date.

Hi Zhu - how were you able to find this? When I go to personalize this is my view (note Doc Date is not already on the page):

If I go to Page Inspector, I don't have the same option as you (view table)?

Maybe I am missing something here... if you can let me know that would be great!

I can see the view table; my guess is you will need to talk to your administrator and make sure you have the appropriate permissions to access to the full details that are shown in the page inspection pane.

Hi, There is a permission for View Table, hope the following helps.

As for why it is not in Personalization, because this field is not added to this page, it needs a little customization.
You can use the Design feature in Sandbox and deploy to production, but I personally recommend letting the developers do it.
