    Hi,

Please post a bit more info on the environment:

-is crm all in a single box?
    -have you tried rebooting?
-any changes that may have caused this?

I haven't really made any changes. All I did was install rollup 8 for server and rollup 8 for the Email Router. I have rebooted the server many times and even restarted the CRM service in IIS. Everything was working before rolllup 8 and I havent made any configuration changes. I've tried troubleshooting this myself with google but with to no avail. It is on a server that is running exchange 2010 on the default website while crm is on 5555. THanks

I'd try to install update rollup 8 again.   The second item i'd check is if for some reason youur are missing these two entries from the web.config.  This was primarily caused in ur 3 and 4:

Is the above a test server or production server?  If a test server, then if the above does not work I'd try to re-install crm.

Oh wow this is more serious than I thought. I can't even uninstall, I get all these uninstall errors, I keep pressing "ignore" until finally, the ignore button dissapears and I can only press cancel or retry which doesn't work. The repair function just brings up a long list of errors. Unfortunately I can't afford to reformat the server because of it's position in our network. I have no idea how this could have happened.....I took a look at the link you posted and tried adding the code to the config file but that had no affect on the error. I'm lost, i've never seem anything like this from CRM before.....

    Hi,

At this point I'd definitely go the install route.  If the uninstall is failing you may have to manually remove crm 4 then install it again from scratch.

Here's a KB article on manually removing crm 4:

    Good Luck
