How do I upload a BAI2 file into Dynamics GP 2016

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to GP and I'm working in a test environment I have setup with Dynamics GP2016. I have a file that was downloaded from our bank which is in the BAI format. How can I upload the file into GP? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've downloaded it onto my desktop and it's in a .TXT format.

Thanks

Juan D

If you go to Financial -> Routines -> Electronic Reconcile  you will find the five windows that are the Bank Import windows.  There are a couple windows to be configured to link your file to the proper checking account.  On the configuration window you can select BAI as format which gets you pretty far for the mapping though you might need to tweak it further.  This is not  the easiest thing to set up properly, often trial and error depending on your bank file so I'd start with the eBanking manual and read through it.

Thanks Tim! I'll try it and will let you know how it worked out for me. :)

    Hello Tim,

My GP is not displaying Electronic Reconcile under Financial->Routines. It displays only Reconcile to GP only. Any suggestions?

Open the Dynamics.set file in the client directory and see if you have this as a product:

    1428

    Electronic Reconcile

If not you need to load the product which is not too difficult these days, you can go to add/remove programs from Windows and select Modify to Dynamics-GP, I think E Rec is a selection in additional products.

I'm on a perpetual license, might also be your license is not for that product.  If you have a listed reseller they can easily answer that.

Thanks Tim!!!! I'll have my cloud admins install the additional product.

Dynamics GP doesn't have a BAI2 format out of the box, you'll have to make some modifications, which are explained here

We have the modified version of the BAI2 file format and you can download it for free here.
