Req Qty and Settled Qty on planned orders

Hello all,

This is a very basic question, but I am in Planned order details, there are 2 fields "Req Qty" and "Settled Qty". Required Qty is the Qty required but what is settled Qty? is it basically " you want 18 but there are only 13 so you settle for 13?"

Any help would be appreciated, sorry for the basic question

    Hi Lainb,

    its the quantity of supply AX can find or plan for.

    The settled is normally shown against demand so if there is a planned purchase order pegged against a sales order with Required = 10 and settled = 8, then the planned PO will be created for 8 and probably the other 2 is settled against on-hand stock.

    Thank you Faisal for your clear explanation, Its really hard to get clear answers on AX 2009 anymore online, and the Help icon doesn't reference those columns.
