Hello,

I have actually created a workflow to fill the custom field in account form. The field should be filled by the date when the account status changes from active to inactive i.e need to fill the date when account gets deactivated. But i am not able to get it.

Here is what i have implemented. Anyone could suggest some better option?

SDK Operation: If a process is triggered in a specific SDK operation, it can not be deleted.

Input Entity: A process depends on a snapshot of a record transmitted to the workflow.

Local Parameter: A formal description of a .NET property that will be defined by the process type.

Have to see which one meets your flow needs.

Good luck and have a good day.

    Hi Drashti,

you need to set the following options (please note i converted the workflow to real-time):

    Hi,

As it is a background workflow it will run after the account has been deactivated. Thus Nobody can update it ( even your workflow). So you should change it to a real-time worflow.

Moreover why have checked the record is created? You don't need that, you will just slow down your async workflow.

    Hi,

you have user-scope there - may need it to be "organization":

    http://blog.profad.com/crm-3/defining-scope-using-workflows-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011/

Also, since that workflow will, essentially, run for inactive account, I'm not sure if it will work (try selecting "ondemand" checkbox and see if you can get the field updated when you run that workflow on an inactive account). If there are errors because of that, you should be able to see them when you click "Process Sessions" on that screen you posted
