Hi I have a question regarding reporting: 

can we be able do department reporting? Do I need to install analytical accounting for this?

    What I find is most clients use a segment of the GL account to identify & segregate transactions by department.  Unless your account format won't allow such a strategy, you shouldn't need to use AA for this.
