Hi, fresher here, what is the use of date interval and how to call it in contract class?
Hi bozLeo,
Date intervals are an optional setup that help you shortening the time you need for entering date values. Rather than entering a from and to date, you can simply select a date interval and therefore save some time entering your report period parameters.
Please look at the following link that talk about how to use it :
community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-get-values-in-from-and-to-date-on-ssrs-report-in-d365-based-on-date-interval
Hi BozLeo,
In addition some examples. Date intervals can be used to define periods based on the current date or a fixed date.
- Current year
- Current month
- Next week
However it is primarily intended to use intervals, some reports can also use the end date only. E.g. for running a report until the end of last month.
Date interval can be used anywhere , for example , to query data between dates . AX/D365 has a concept of valid time state tables as well where in you can track changes between different date and time.
When you say you want date interval in contract class that means you want to define date parameters (from date and to date) in contract class ?
If that is the case take a look at below link
