General ledger drill down

Hello,

I just started with a company that recently converted to GP.  I came from a company that used Navision.  In Navision, we had the ability to view the general ledger account balances and was able to drill down into the accounts from the general ledger and export the data to excel.  Is this something that is available in GP?  Being new to GP, no one is really sure if this is a function that can be used, or if it just isn't set up yet.

Thanks!

The best way to accomplish what you're likely trying to do is to use SmartLists. SmartLists is Accessible by clicking on the Microsoft Dynamics GP button and selecting SmartLists.

Once SmartLists is open, you can browse down the left hand pane to view various data in Dynamics GP. You are looking for Financial > Account Transactions.  You can filter by data, account, add the main account segment, etc. Once you have the results you are looking for simply press the Excel button to export the data to Excel.
