Adding Signatures and approval

I am working on adding batch approval on computer checks and adding two signatures. I know where to setup a password for the check batch and also add signatures using report writer. Where I am confused is, we have Mekorma installed and I don't know if I should follow their setup or just do it through GP. Is there any difference if I do it one way vs. the other?

Your suggestion is appreciated!

    Hi nlo

If you are licensed for Mekorma MICR, then that is the better way to go to create your cheque spec.

Mekorma MICR allows you to set thresholds for when the signatures will print based on the cheque amount.  I used Mekorma MICR many times for clients that want signatures to automatically print on cheques based on threshold amounts.

Thank you for the suggestion and that is what I did.

Now, I have another challenge. We have multiple checkbook accounts and need signature on only two. Where would  insert that logic?

    Thanks!

In the setup of security you can tell it to never try and put on a signature. I had an issue a few months ago that if I didn't have a signature, it didn't print the line. That was only for two signature checks where only one of the signatures was stored in the system. Mekorma is great, I think you'll really like it.

Thank you Leslie. I added the signature on the checkbook id level. Is there anything else that I need to do?
