Adding a new note in an opportunity or quote

Hi,

I'm very new to CRM, we had an update at work and now have Microsoft Dynamics 365 version 1612 (9.0.2.54) online. Before this update we could add notes in the opportunities and quote forms but now this has disappeared. The notes section is there but you cannot add a new one.

We can add a new note on a contact page though.

I have checked in the opportunity/quote settings and notes and activities are ticked.

Could anyone help on how I can enable the notes section to work?!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Tiff.

Interesting, can you create a new Opportunity form, remove the NOTES section, and then add it back to the form and see if it works?

    Hi,

From the screenshot, it seems that this isn't the default form for Opportunity entity.

The default form is like the one below.

Could you kindly check whether you could add notes in the default form for Opportunity entity?

Posts, Activities and Notes are part of the Opportunity entity. Please make sure that you are using the correct form, and if you are that the Notes control is added to the Form. If you have Project Service or Field Service installed they also have their default forms (but they do have the Notes control in them).

Go to you solution, forms and edit you form and make sure Notes are added to the form.

    Hope this helps.
