AX 2012 R3 with SQL 2019

Hello Community Members,

We have one customer with AX 2012 R3 with SQL 2014 Standard. He is stable and working since 2015.

Now as SQL 2014 is out of support by Microsoft, they are planning to upgrade to SQL 2019.

I could not find any documentation about AX 2012 R3 compatibilty with SQL 2019 .

Does anyone tried AX 2012 R3 with SQL 2019? Please share your experience and also mention if it is a in-place upgrade or fresh installation of SQL 2019.

Hi Martin

The mentioned link is talking about windows server. My question is related to sql server.Is there any thread for sql 2019 compatibility with ax 2012 r3.

Aha, sorry. Nevertheless I don't see SQL Server 2019 either in System Requirements document (the link is in the other thread).

Please refer Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 System Requirements, SQL 2019 is not supported.
