The context is Supplier posting profiles in D365 F&O.
I understand the reason why some companies use an arrival account.
However, where a company is not planning to use an arrival account. How does the "offset" account work?
I read that the offset account represents the account where the corresponding entries for the arrival account go.
If no arrival account will be used, does the offset account still have a use? And where does the offset for the Summary account get set-up?
