I set up a vmware virtual environment,and migrate AX 2012 from physical environment.

In my test:
test 1#: open one client very slowly, using 60s;
test 2#: open two client at the same time and the same machine, only use 8s

check cpu/memory/IO no bottleneck, also ,no block or long query in DB.

who can give some advice,many thanks.

    Hi ucanuup,

    The first startup requires some caching to be build. This can cause your experience. Possibly you can use the Trace parser to see what is actually happening in detail. Do you have a lot of larger tables which are set for an entire table cache?

    AX loads up some of the most commonly used forms and their data for faster user experience on client start at the background. This is part of the caching that André has explained.

    Also your AX AOS pushes the DLLs which are to be deployed on the client the first time, and you receive the AOT object cache as well in form of the Application User Cache (AUC) files.

    The combination of the above will lead to a slower first start, after which subsequent client runs will be faster until you restart the AOS instance or deploy customizations.
