Thanks you for the pointers i already set up my console application to connect to crm, now i need to figure out how to upload the csv file to create new leads, and fill in all the sub-grids that come from other entities, it looks like it might take a while especially because the csv file contains information for the creation of several entities, that the lead entity takes information from and fills the sub-grids with records....It's still a mess in my head i hope to have it worked out by the end of the week :)

Once again thank you all for the useful advice.

    Hi Filip,

Just adding a couple of things to Alex's response.

Although you are on CRM 2015, Connection information starting with the 2016/365 release is using XRM Tooling, in case you plan to upgrade in the future.

The following are three MSDN Quickstart articles (using the code that is available in the SDK) on CRUD methods and connectivity to Dynamics CRM:

    Quick start for Dynamics 365

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh675400.aspx

    Simplified Connection Quick Start

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../jj602970.aspx

    Quickstart for XRM Tooling

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn689019.aspx

Also, there is an older blog articles here (from CRM 2011), which also might be relevant, which shows you how to create a console app from scratch and adding the proper references.

    kelvinshen.blogspot.com/.../create-crm-console-app-from-scratch.html

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

I will suggest you to download CRM SDK first, and refer sample code there, you will find sample code and related documentation as well www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

You can also refer this video to write a console application www.youtube.com/watch

    Thanks

This seems to be as simple as it can be:

And this is a bit more advanced:
