Dev environment not connecting after failed upgrade to version 47.

Hi Everyone,

I am facing an issue with my Dev environment where the network is not connecting.

Initially, I tried performing a network reset, but the issue was not resolved. After that, I attempted to upgrade the Dev environment to version 47; however, the upgrade process failed.

Since the failed upgrade, I am no longer able to connect to the Dev system at all.

Could anyone please help with:

  • Possible reasons for this issue
  • Steps to restore connectivity to the Dev environment
  • Recommended recovery actions after a failed upgrade

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Swetha.

The issue is caused by a failed upgrade due to a missing Azure Storage resource, which left the Dev environment in an inconsistent state and broke connectivity.

    Reasons
    • Storage account used during upgrade is missing or inaccessible
    • Upgrade failed after retries → environment became unstable
    • Core services cannot start → no network connectivity
    Troubleshooting Steps
    • Check Azure Resource Group for missing resources
    • Review Activity Logs for deletion or failure
    • Verify permissions and deployment settings
    • Retry deployment from LCS (if applicable)
    Recommended Recovery Actions
    • Best option: Redeploy the environment and restore backup
    • Raise Microsoft support ticket if environment is critical
    • Try restoring missing resources (limited success)

    Hi Swetha,

Can you tell us what type of development deployment you are using? Is it a ONE-Box VHD, Cloud Hosted Environment, or Unified Development Environment?
Have you tried searching for the deployment logs? This should give more details.

    Hi Andre,

    Thank your quick response.

It is cloud hosted Environment . I have checked the logs it is showing as empty. No particular details about the issue.

    Regards,
    Swetha.
