Management Reporter: Row Definition: Gross Margin % Calculation with Multiple Trees

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello!

I'm trying to create a Gross Margin % calculation in my IS report row. There are a total of 6 reporting trees needed on this report.

I have the equation set and calculating fine with "@Gross Margin/@Total Revenue", but when the report generates, it calculates the Gross Margin of EACH TREE, and then adds them all together for the report.

So, instead of getting roughly 84% Gross Margin, I'm getting 400%.

I'm fully aware that I could just have a separate column dedicated to %'s, but I was trying to remove that column and just have this GM% calc, if it is feasible.

Thank you for any help.
