Hi All,

I am following the below blog to convert Managed Solution to Unmanaged

community.dynamics.com/.../converting-managed-solutions-to-unmanaged-solutions-crm-2013

I open Solution.xml File in Notepad  and covert it to like below in 8 point of blog

You will notice lot of MissingDependency elements, remove them all and self close the MissingDependency tag like this <MissingDependency />

Now I Zip the files again and  import it to  development environment but when I import it to development environment, the solution not imported and it is giving me error of Solution.xml does not exist.

I followed each step as it is given in the blog. Not sure why it is not allowing me import to development environment.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Try to open solution.xml right from zip. Modify it and save. Then import solution.

In my experience CRM sometimes shows errors if you unzip and zip solution archive before import.

    Hi Uriy,

How to modify solution.xml without unzip. In my system it is opening only xml file.

I mean don't do that :) Just open zip in winrar (for example) and open solution.xml straight from winrar.

    hi Uriy.

I tried to open the zip in WinRAR still I cant edit the solution.xml because it is opening only .xml version. However I tried to unzip then open the solution via notepad/visual studio and  and zip and import it to CRM but it is giving me error that Soultion.xml file does not exist.
