Hi Team,
I have a requirement wherein we have a timesheet workflow where approver and submitter of the workflow are hard coded in the workflow itself. We want to convert these aprovers and submitters into user group. For example if users of Group A submits the workflow on timesheet form , it will go to approver A.
how can I proceed with this workflow customisation based on timesheet form and groups
please guide.
Hi Karuna,
You don't need a customization for this requirement. You can use the position hierarchy to have the manager go for an approval. In case you really talk about groups which if different from the organization hierarchy, you can create a second position hierarchy type and use this new hierarchy type for the workflow.
But we want add submitters and approvers in a group. Also we want to provide a form where user can choose their own approval authority.
In that case, next to a new table and the form, you would need to develop an own participant provider for the workflow. You can go to Microsoft Learn for examples how to achieve this.
