Where is the check number stored in the database?

Hello, I'm trying to use the check number to pull the invoice number and date into our imaging system for indexing and I can't find the ap check number anywhere in the database. The APDoc table has everything I need but no check number. Any ideas?

The check number is the REFNUM for ARDOC records with "C" as a DOCCLASS.  (Doctype = CK, VC, HC)
