SL 7 FP Installation on Laptop W7Ultimate with VM 2008

I have installed SL 7 FP on a new Dell Laptop 8gig. Tech dept recommended installing in a VM 2008 server Virtual. Seems to work...almost. I am having extreme difficulties with the mouse functioning....sometimes it clicks, sometimes it does not...sometimes I hold it down and it clicks , sometimes it doesn't...sometimes I double click and it works some times. Customization is a nightmare...and demos are traumatic. It is still slow.

This Laptop is intended mainly to be a demo/consulting machine. Any ideas?

In the past I tried running in virtual machine and always had problems and removed it(not enough ram, too slow). I would just as soon do it again...question? What is the consultant experience with SL running W7 Ultimate with out being forced to a VM 2008?

They are specifically for the vm. If you are using MS Virtual PC, with a vm running go to Actions and select Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions. This will install the vm drivers for video, mouse, network etc. If you are using other vm software you usually find an option to install additions.

Are these "Virtual Machines Additions" provided by MS for Solomon specifically....or

VM additions specifcally for VM?
