Adjust Cost - Item Entry job errors

Hi everyone,

We have a job set up to run the object id 7995 (Adjust Cost - Item Entries) every night and have been running into errors the past 2 nights which prevented us from completing it. In general, we've also been experiencing long processing times of 7-12 hours to complete the job when run on a weekly basis, and 3-4 when run on a daily. Any ideas on either optimizing this (such as splitting the job across item types, etc) or how to solve the below errors?

Error 1 - Attempted to divide by 0. This occurred after 2.5 hours but did not link a related record to the error.

Error 2 - A connection to SQL Server is no longer usable. This could be caused by one of the following reasons: * The server has been shut down manually or because of an error. * The SQL Server connection settings are not correct. *

Hi, I suggest you use the function below to test what programs are particularly slow.
If this is related to customizations, you need to investigate your customizations. If it's a standard question, you can submit it to Microsoft.

PS: The following is the data shared by Microsoft in a certain event. If your data volume does not exceed this, I don't think there will be a problem.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

It could be that you have some performance issues on your SQL server. I recommend you start monitoring your SQL server when you start the adjust cost job.

There could be a hardware bottleneck or there can be missing statistics for indexes on your sql server.

That is the first place i would start to investigate a case like this.
