I recently installed the CRM 2016 update 2 on our on-prem servers. The client immediately complained that the Direction field for Letter, Phonecall, and Fax no longer will swap the values for Sender and Receiver. I compared this behaviour to some older servers and both CRM2011 and CRM2015 do indeed swap those values when using the Direction field, so it appears to be a bug. I have also tried installing the newer rollup (8.2.1.176) on a server but the behaviour still persists.
Has anyone else experienced this or identified it as a known issue with MS?

I logged a ticket with MS and confirmed this bug is set to be fixed in UR 8.2.2.144, which is probably still a couple of months away.
I should also correct my original description in that the bug does not apply to the Letter entity.
Hi Keith,
I can confirm I am seeing the same behaviour.
I just tested a PhoneCall on Dynamics 365 version 8.2.1.207 and changing the directioncode does not swap the Sender/Receiver fields.
I also tested this on CRM 2016 (version 8.0.1.79) and changing the direction code changed the Sender/Receiver as expected. This definitely looks like a bug, or maybe a feature removal....
