Unable to change Column Display Name in lists built in SmartList Designer

When editing a favorite list, built with SmartList Designer, I'm not able to change a Column Display Name.  I can type in a new name in the Change Column Display window but it doesn't display the new name in the list.  

It does save the new column name in a list NOT built with SmartList Designer.

I've run into this issue on a few customers' systems as well.  Is this a bug?

    why don't you change display list in smartlist builder and the create your favorite. it's will show you desired caption, as it don't change display name on creating fav from existing list.

    Hi Almas,

    This is SmartList Designer, not Builder.  I don't think you can change the column name in the Designer.  But, you just gave me the idea to create a calculated field equal to that column with a new name.
