Hello,

I am facing a problem in Quote Product data migration from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2013 Online. I have downloaded template for Quote Product, input data in that template and upload it. but i get the below error.

Can you please help me to solve this issue?

Hi Patel,

Can activate trace on the crm server and retry importing your template. If you got an error in your tracelog file share it with us to get more details about this error.

Thank you for your reply.

I am using CRM 2013 online version. I think tracing feature is not supported in online versions.

Could you please let me know how to activate tracing in online version if it is supported?.

Indeed, CRM Trace Log is not supported in online version.

But you can add a plugin in create message on quotedetail entity and you can use ITracingService to trace more error detail.

This ITrancingService allows you to write more error details on the errordetail file that you download when the error occure.

Dear all,

Thanks for all your support.

The problem is resolved. The problem was when we download import template of Quote Product, the template does not contain Quote Id which is necessary. I have added Quote Id in the template and uploaded data and it worked for me.

Same way we need to add Order Id in Order Product template and Invoice Id in Invoice Product template while importing data for Order Product and Invoice Product.

Since I am new in the technology i was not aware of this.

Hi Bhumit,

The template it is actually based on the entity form.

Yes, Quote Product does not have Quote Id in the Quote Product form by default :)

Hi

How can we import Quote Products to a Quote? Products are already available in Price list. When there is a large number of products associated with a quote, we would like to import the same with Product ID, Price, Quantity.
