UoM Decimal Quantity Different in GP Gui vs GP data table

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I just stumbled on this. I have UoM of Bottle with 0 decimal places in GP.  It shows as 0 when I look at it.  If I go to IV40201, which is the table for the UoMSchedules, the decimal is 1.  I have 20 UoM schedules set up and all of them are off by +1 in the data table.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Well, I'll say that back a different way.  The value in the database indicates the list position.  In this case, the value 0, which yes, is a string value in the list, occupies position 1.  Therefore, the database stores a 1.

I think I understand.  So even though it is an integer field, it is used more of a string to determine the value from another list?

Normal.  1 in the database means it's the first value in the list where the number of decimal places is seleted (zero shows first in the list).
