Hello,
Is there any problem if client currently using 'SQL Server Enterprise' and now want to move to Standard Version of SQL Server is there any issue while restoring DB to new SQL Server i.e. Std version?
Your earliest reply is highly appreciable.
Thanks much

Hi Sandip,
I did it about 4 months back. It is the same standard process as if you are installing a new server. Yes, the MR did not work as highlighted above but you can have all the reports exported and imported back and it would be fine. I was able to do it in 2 hours for 5 company database.
Thanks all for your reply. I have suggested same to client.
Thanks much
Hi Sandip,
There is no major issues to expect by downsizing from the 'Enterprise' edition to the Standard edition.. We did this a few years ago by moving at the same time from SQL 2005 to 2008.
The issue Keith reported was more likely linked to the fact that the SQL server changed name during the process and yes, due to the encryption key that is used when setting up MR 2012, you have to reset this..
Mariano Gomez has a blog post related to this and it's not a bid deal, but you have to remember about it, before banging your head against the wall :-).
When we switched from Enterprise to Standard we had to uninstall and reinstall Management Reporter. A simple restore did not work for Management Reporter. We did not have any other major issues that I remember. It has been a couple of years. We are running SQL Server 2014.
