Error at the time of creating a purchase order in D365 F&O

Dear all,

At the time of creating a purchase order for the first time from "All Purchase Orders" form I am receiving this error message. I am also the only user receiving this message.

We have tried the following actions unsuccessfully:
- Delete and recreating the account.
- Delete the browser history.
- Delete usage data.

Could you let me know how this issue can be fixed, please?

"Unsupported datasource used for PositionToRecord or PositionToRecordByValue. Unable to execute fallback logic to find record".

Thanks!
KR

    Hi Aitor,

I am not a technical guy, but have you already look into this? https://community.dynamics.com/forums/thread/details/?threadid=394ab3e2-7361-f011-bec2-6045bdda26ca
Additionally, I see in LCS that from time to time tickets are opened to Microsoft for that same error, so probably opening a ticket to Microsoft is also an option:

Since the issue is occurring only for your user, it is likely related to user-specific settings. One possible cause could be a personalized or saved view associated with your account.

Please check whether you have any personalized views on the All Purchase Orders page. If so, try deleting those views and then refresh the browser (or navigate back to the home page and reopen the form). After that, try creating the purchase order again.

If you find this answer helpful, please consider verifying the answer. 👍

    Regards,
    Syed Haris Shah

    Hello

Could you please try using an alternative browser, reset the filters, and temporarily assign the System Administrator role to check if the issue persists?

Additionally, could you please try accessing/Creating Po's from the workspace as well?

    Hi Aitor,

Does the issue appear in one environment or multiple environments?

    Best regards,
    Laurens van der Tang

Hi there, this is because of this technical reason
The changes in the hotfix use lookupRecord() and research(false) to replace positionToRecord() and make sure that the error message is not displayed anymore.

please raise a ticket to MS before that try what Mallesh has suggested.
