Dear all,

I navigate from a sales order/purchase order or production order to the released products (form EcoResProductDetailsExtended).

When I click on the "Refresh-button" on the released products form,

I get the following error message:

I guess there is something wrong with one ore more of the data source relations? Is this a knowing problem?

It appears on InventTable research method and only if the fallback translation feature is enabled

To me it seems an issue in the version of the app. I can see several threads with similar error on the LCS and most of those got fixed using KBs/Hotfixes/Updates.

What version you are on and have you tried the same on an updated version. Above all if you do not have any customization, you should raise it with the Microsoft support.

Hi Christian,

Its a standard error and fixed this problem by enabling this feature "Display product info in user's language". Also, if you look at the class EcoResProductTranslationFallbackViewModel its a class that is triggered on enabling this feature and is used to see a product translation based on an user language. If the translation does not exist, it will default to the system language. Also, the code EcoResProductTranslationFallbackViewModel::retainPositionOnResearch() returns true or false, based on the below mentioned code.

In the above code. the "Display product info in user's language" feature on enablement, adds a view as a datasource on the EcoResProduct form. This prevents the research to retain the position properly because the platform does not support views as data sources with respect to the scenario you mentioned. The above code returns true if the research method should retain position on enablement.

Ensure you synchronize the database after enabling this feature or restart the Dynamics services explicitly for this feature to be properly replicated.

Caution: Ensure that there are no interfaces impacted based on this feature enablement.
