RE: How powerapps different with ms dynamics?

Dynamics 365 is a collection of intelligent business applications that delivers superior operational efficiency and breakthrough customer experiences enabling businesses to become more agile and reduce complexity without increasing costs.

As a D365 user we can access various business applications using Power apps. Mainly there are 2 types of power apps. Canvas apps and model driven apps.

Model driven apps are OOB apps like sales hub, customer service hub, etc. If needed we can create new model driven apps.

Similarly canvas apps are custom apps which can we build from the scratch. The difference between both of them is that there are some limitations with the model driven apps with respect to the customizations compared to canvas apps.

RE: How powerapps different with ms dynamics?

    Hello,

PowerApps is a low-code platform for building custom business applications. It allows users to create custom apps that can be used on mobile devices and web browsers, without needing to write any code. The idea behind PowerApps is to empower users to quickly build custom applications that can automate business processes and improve productivity.

Microsoft Dynamics, on the other hand, is a set of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software. Dynamics 365 is the latest version of Dynamics, and it includes a number of different products such as Dynamics 365 Sales, Dynamics 365 Marketing, Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Customer Service. Dynamics 365 enables organizations to automate and streamline their business processes, such as sales, marketing, customer service, and financial management.

PowerApps can be used to create custom apps that can interact with Dynamics 365 data, for example, by creating a custom app that can display Dynamics 365 data or update Dynamics 365 data. This way PowerApps can be used to extend the functionality of Dynamics 365.

In summary, PowerApps is a tool for building custom business applications and Dynamics 365 is a set of enterprise software for automating and streamlining business processes. PowerApps can be used in conjunction with Dynamics 365 to create custom apps that can interact with Dynamics 365 data.

Some Dynamics 365 apps (like Sales, Customer Service, Field Service) are installed on top of a Power Apps environment, basically they include the CDM (Common Data Model) for their implementation plus the other things required (forms, plugins, ...)

So is something works in Power Apps it works on Dynamics 365 apps based on Power Apps.
