Journeys: Add custom fields to segment views

Hi everyone,

I want to add custom columns to the segment views in Customer Insights Journeys (Real Time Marketing), but do not have a clue how to do that. I have added custom columns in the msdynmkt_segmentdefinition table and added these fields to the custom form. Users can fill these columns in the Segment builder (Real Time Marketing segments). But I need to add these columns also to views. In Real Time Marketing app the segments (Outbound and Real Time Marketing) are clustered in msdynmkt_virtualsegment table. But in that table I am not able to add my custom columns to a view. Of course because they are stored in a different table.

Does anyone have an idea how to use my custom columns in a segment view? I need that information for my users in order to create different views and also to allow them to filter for specific segments. I doesn't make sense to store additional information in a segment but not beeing able to access it in views.

Perhaps there are different approaches? Any idea or help is welcome.

Kind regards
Leander

    Hi Leander,

i also noticed that you cannot add new columns to system view unfortunately because it is part of a virtual table. Have you tried adding your new fields to a personal view and share it with your users? Maybe that is a workaround until MS gives us a better solution.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Pauline,

Unfortunately, I am not able to add the columns to a personal view either. I am considering switching the navigation menu item to the segment definition table instead. However, then I won't be able to see outbound segments (we are still in transition phase), and information about member count will also be missing.

    Kind regards
