Warning 919. the printer OPOS driver was not found.

I am running MS RMS for a retail store. The second POS station/hard drive failed. First or POS1 contains the database and is fine. To repair, had to buy new hard drive and install MS RMS. However, when I launch MS RMS program, receive the error message: warning 919. the printer opos driver was not found. Drawer and receipt printer are HP PO hardware, HP-A794.

End result is that the cash drawer does not open and receipt printer does now work. 

Please help.

    with RMS, you need to run as an administrator.  You can make it work at normal levels, but it is messy and requries a lot of permission  settings.

    do I still need to run it as an administrator even though I'm already the admin of my PC?

    Hi Matt...thank you for the reply...as far as I know I have done that but it does not work...I really don't know 'specifically' how to configure this printer & install the drivers & configure ports etc so I am sure by now I have done an exceptional job of messing it up! Dynamics tech support has not been able to figure it out & my microsoft 'partner' has been MIA & not returning calls...I have the details in a different post let me find that one & copy it rather than trying to re-type everything...

    make sure you install the OPOS running as administrator as well as teh POS software and you shoudl be fine.

    Did you happen to get this working & if so could you tell me how as we are having the same problem? We purchased a new computer with windows 7 & now our printer does not work?

    Marcos,

    Did you install and configure the OPOS drivers for your printer & cash drawer?  This will also have to be done.  If not you will get these errors.

    On the OPOS driver check the device characteristics.  sometimes you need to change the settings from low to high or high to low and it will work fine
