How to change display name for Parent Account for Lead and Parent Contact for Lead lookup fields on lead entity

Hi there,

I am working on D365 on-premise, am using Parent Account for Lead and Parent Contact for Lead lookup fields on OOB lead entity. I wanted to change the Display name(not the label name) for this field to "Account" and "Contact" respectively . Unfortunately, I am unable to change it as the Display Name for these fields are greyed out in Field properties. Could anyone suggest on how to change the display name for these fields.

As per the previous post, you can't change the display names. For views, a workaround is to create new calculated fields that just reference the value for these fields, and you can use these calculated fields in the views

Thanks for your question.

These two fields' display are not supported for editing. It is by design.

If you want to change how do they show like in form, changing label is a good fit too.

Other wise you will need to create custom fields to replace the OOB fields.
