Inter company asset transfer

Hi all,

I have requirement to transfer asset from one company to another company. On analyzing it I see that we have this process in built for russian company refer: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj665281.aspx. So what would be the best option to implement the functionality.

1. Can it be done by customizations?

2. Or is there a way to utilize the transfer in russian company to work in all the company.

    Good day Venkat,

    My recommendation is to request a developer to analyze what the Russian localization does. If you get the desired output the developer should replicate it through customization.

    Hi,

    when the transfer is between two legal entities, then it involves buying and selling and does not amount to transfer.

    Hi venkat,

    The Russian functionality does not go along with the standard fixed assets functionality because there is a separate Russian fixed asset module. You can thus not easily borrow something from the Russian feature.

    What might work though in the standard application is

    - creating inventory items in the company that sells the fixed assets

    - posting an inventory to fixed asset journal to transfer all your fixed asset values to your items

    - create an ic-sales order for the sale of the fixed assets between companies

    - create and post another inventory to fixed asset journal in the company that purchases the fixed assets.

    Following that process has the advantage that you have the ic invoices automatically created and posted. The disadvantage is that you might gave to create a lot of items. Yet, this might be done with the help of a developer.
