Available finance tables for BYOD

Hi all,

We currently export various entities/tables from D365 (which I'm new to) and are now looking to export the various finance entities / tables, but there seems to be very little available for BYOD. Can anyone share links to any documentation that will shed light on this?

I'm interested in the following:

  • General Journal Entry
  • General Journal Account Entry (We already have this)
  • Ledger Entry
  • Ledger Entry Journal
  • Ledger Journal Trans
  • Sub Ledger Voucher General Journal Entry

The main one would be the general Journal Entry as from what I can see, this contains party name and party number (vendor).

Any support on this is greatly appreciated. Apologies for any vagueness due to lack of knowledge.

Regards,

Steve

    Hi,

    You can try to use this table. The data can be extract from LedgerDimension in LedgerJournalTrans and also you need to folter on Account Type of Vendor also.

    DimensionAttributeValueCombination dimensionAttributeValueCombination;

    select firstonly DisplayValue from dimensionAttributeValueCombination

               where dimensionAttributeValueCombination.RecId == _ledgerJournalTrans.LedgerDimension;

    Hope this will help.

    Do you happen to know which tables/entities would allow linking a supplier/vendor to the general journal?

    Hi Steve,

    For this one I think you can get the base table, then ask your technical team to check for out of box entities available.

    In case the entities are not available standardly, you can consider to create custom entity with the below post for your own usage of BYOD. This might need some technical knowledge for D365FO development with Visual Studio.

    Hope this helps.
