Horizontal scroll bar resetting when item selected

When I have an associated view grid or advanced find search results where the horizontal scroll bar exists:

If you move the red scroll bar across and then select any record, the scroll bar automatically 'resets' back to the far-left hand side.

This auto-reset is quite annoying - is there a fix that keeps the scroll bar position as is (when a record is selected)?
