hi there,

need help please. the error message occur when I want to add accounts on GL.

here is he message:

Warning - This Account is reserved as the GL Suspense Account.
---------------------------
OK   
---------------------------

for your info, this database has not been used from beginning (there is no transaction since create empty database)/

    System is created the Account 000000 with description "GL Suspense" because, If you post to an account or sub that doesn't exist, or is inactive.  Also if you are using Acct-sub validation and you posted to a combo that isn't set up.

    sorry I don't get it.

    this happen when I just created new database, and added new account (I copy from old broken database).

    while being pasted, the message shows as I mentioned.

    do you mean, am I need to configure the subaccount first?

    Hi Rodi

    A suspense account is an account used temporarily to carry doubtful receipts and disbursements or discrepancies pending their analysis and permanent classification.

    It can be a repository for monetary transactions (cash receipts, cash disbursements & journal entries) entered with invalid account numbers. The account specified may not exist, or it may be deleted/frozen. If one of these conditions exist, the transaction should be directed to a suspense account.

    System will be created this suspense Acct 000000 automatically with the description "GL Suspense" due to the following scenarios.

    1) If you try to post to an account or sub that doesn't exist, or is inactive.

    2) if you are using Acct-sub validation and you the combination of Acct and Sub-account  doesn't set up.
