Select PR Check Printer based on Checkbook

We would like to programmatically select the printer for PR checks based on the checkbook ID or some other field associated with the Checkbook, so the user does not select the wrong destination. This is an Remote desktop install. We are open to dexterity, VB or Triggers.
Any ideas are appreciated
