Looking around online i see where enabling manual switch offline in the offline profiles should make a "database connection status" button to work offline appear in the settings page, prior to sign in. I have enabled the option, and i can switch online/offline when i an logged into the MPOS... but i want the button to appear like in my attachment... Problem is, in my MPOS, that section does not appear in settings... It goes About..Session Information....
Do I need to customize the layout or something to make that appear?
Hi Jeffrey,
If you are not seeing the Work Offline button that you are seeing in the above, please open a support incident with Microsoft for assistance.
On my VM, this is showing as you indicated:
Nope, no change. I've created tons of shifts, logged in, out, updated the MPOS package, reset and activated other registers, etc... This option has never appeared in the settings menu pre-login, ever.
Hi Jeffrey,
Can you try to Logon in online mode, create a new shift, and then Logoff to see if that option then appears?
At the Settings page, click "Work offline":
Definitely not the issue. I just activated a register today for some other testing, latest version of MPOS with Offline, and still that box does NOT appear.
Hey Jeffrey,
Once configuring the setting in your Offline profile, Allow manual switch to offline before sign in = Yes
Run a 1095 Job.
Once the 1095 job applies, Please preform an application reset on the MPOS.
Once you reactivate the MPOS, you should see the option in your settings.
