Long Integer

I have a client that is receiving an error when he attempts to recover a batch in Dynamics GP 2010. When using the batch recovery tool, the user received the following and is not able to recover. It reads"Batch 'XXX' failed to complete posting. Use the Batch Recovery window to complete the posting process." followed by "Long integer out of range. Results invalid"

If I look into the database, this batch doesn't show in the PM10200 or PM 10300 tables as suggested in other posts.

I did follow the instructions on this KB but no results are returned in the SQL qurey. I don't see the item in any of the tables that are mentioned in this KB does that mean it didn't post to GL? if that is that case I can just have the client recreate the batch but i want to check to make certain. thanks!

I can see in the batch master table (SY00500) that record is there. Im not sure what that means for the GL or if I can work some edit in SQL to resolve the error in GP..any advise would be appreciated Thanks.

    Hi RHarpers,

Update the batch status via SQL using the script below:

    UPDATE SY00500 set MKDTOPST = 0, BCHSTTUS = 0 where BACHNUMB = 'XXX'

**where  XXX is the Batch ID

Once done, go to GP and pull up the batch then print the Edit List.  Check the Edit List for any errors.

If there are any errors, let me know.  If there are none, post as needed.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Check the transactions in in that batch in SQL and look for a date way in the past or way in the future.  I've had that error a few times trying to post a payment batch and it was always dates way out of range of reasonableness, like doc dates with years of 2199.  It was fine on the edit list, everything looked good, but it gets hung up trying to post to the GL.  Hope that works for you.

Thank you Tristan for the response. This helped to solve the issue inconjunction with the response from KevinD to change the payment date...Thank you both for your help. I had the enduser go into GP to modify the payment date and verify that it was accurate after I modified the SQL table. Thank you again!
