I have MS GP2010.
I am trying to set up a variable allocation account that looks at the total based on a range of 2 of my segments and not the full accounts. I have 29 Distribution accounts buf if I were to use the full account numbers, I would have about 250 breakdown accounts per distribution account. I also want to build it in such a way that if I have to add an account, I do not want to have to go back and update the allocation accounts.
Can anyone help me on this?
My accounts have 5 segments however there are only 3 segments (entity, location and main account segment) that i want to drive the breakdown account. It is the last 2 segments (Department & Revenue Type) that causes the issue. I want to all revenue by location to drive the allocation %.
