Hi There,

I am migrating from AX 2012 to D365 F&O and exploring the solution to handle production WIP. We are looking to migrate approximately 200 production orders in WIP at the time of go live and looking for ideas on what is the best way to upload the below -

- Production order statuses

- WIP stock consumed in these production orders (how do we Segregate the WIP stock that is consumed from rest of the stock balances?)

- Financial values to the WIP accounts

- Serial numbers tied to the Finished goods and Raw Materials

Would leveraging the DMF be the best solution or could this be done through another mechanism like the BOM journal?

Hello, I would avoid importing WIP orders and close the ones that have been already produced or consumed some stock in the old system whilst creating the ones that have not been started yet in D365.
