How to get an overview of available financial dimension values for each legal entity

Hello,

We need a help from you.

We have a financial dimension called 'BU' (Business Unit), it has loads of values, and these values are depends on the legal entity overrides and can be used according to the setup for legal entities.

However, our budgeting team wants what are the BU is applicable for which Legal entity (note- we have around 20 LEs), and not all the BU is setup with overrides, hence where those are not setup with overrides, those BU should be applicable for LEs.

My question, is there any way or any data entity we have, which can tell us which BU (fin dim values) are available for which LEs?

Its hard to determine from the overrides package, because existing setup of overrides of BUs works, however those are not setup, we need to work manually.

Regards,

Ramit

    Hello Ramit Paul,

There is the MainAccountLegalEntityOverride entity that you can use to specify fixed findims on a company by company level.

Have you tried extracting the data by making use of this entity?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ramit,

When I read your question, I think to understand that you need an overview per legal entity which BUs are allowed. Some are restricted and some are valid for all legal entities. Is this correct?

If so, you need to create a customization to get this report or export. The standard application is catering for a validation on postings only. Your challenge would be creating a list where in fact there is a "not exists" of suspended business unit per legal entity. Probably, you need to create a (temporary) table to store the exploded results of which business units are valid per legal entity. If it would be a persistent table, you need to ensure this table would be updated accordingly to changes done in the BU setup.
