    Elam,

In the case of trying to open CRM in Chrome or Firefox or any other browser except IE, that is the expected behavior. It is not supported in a non-IE browser at t his time except via Mobile Express.

CRM 2011 will be supported in Compatibility mode only on IE10 after Update Rollup 10 is applied to CRM 2011.

We are using CRM Online (which I would expect has all update rollups applied) and although it largely works with IE10, I have found that you are not able to customize entity forms at all. The drag & drop of form fields does not work at all.

CRM Online is on a different version than the On Premise version currently so at this time we suggest sticking with IE9 or 8 if you can or Compatibility mode for IE10. Later we will see Update Rollup 10 code be applied to CRM Online and it should resolve some of the issues you are seeing with forms. I do not have an exact date when we will see the update to Online.

We have followed the steps to see all sites in compatability mode. Unfortunately, after that is done, CRM is reverts to the mobile view. This is using Windows 8, IE 10 and CRM 2011 Online. Any ideas?

The only thing I have found that works is to turn off compatibility mode before going to the sign-in page and then turning compatibility mode back on as soon as you sign in.  Ridiculous the steps necessary to make CRM online work with win8 and IE10...especially with price per month and on-premise Dynamics already having the update.  Throw in the disaster with live authentication vs Microsoft account authentication and, as a firm, we are being forced to look at alternative CRM options.

This is indeed a problem, especially with PC manufacturers now only shipping Windows 8 and tablets. Most companies can't upgrade from CRM 4.0 to CRM 2011 at the moment, as that alone is a huge undertaking. Let's just hope IE10 isn't rolled out via Windows Update for Windows 7 and is left as an optional download. Thank you Cory for the temporary fix, even if it is very annoying to have to do this.
