change lexicographic ordering of string type columns

In the default view of an entity, I see that I can use the A-Z or Z-A ordering on a string column.

However, this puts ABC-12245 ahead of ABC-200 when I order A-Z. My goal is to sort on the value of the numerical part.

Any way I can change the default ordering to have Dynamics 365 look at the numerical part alone ? Thanks for any ideas.

Hi,

We can only sort the string or numeric parts separately; it is not possible to sort a mixture of them.

For example, create a calculated column that gets the numbers in the string individually and then sorts them by the size of the value. But then you can't take care of sorting the string.
